Questions regarding a grade should be directed to the subject teacher. An excellent way to approach this matter is to encourage the student to go to the teacherA for an explanation ofA the grade.A This is the first step in teaching a student to advocate for him or herself.A After all, the A student participated in the class activities and assessments, and it is important that he/she understands the marking period grade andA is ableA to explain it.A If questions remain regarding the summative grade,A the parent should contact the teacher first by phone or email for an explanation. Following discussions with the teacher(s), parents who detect a pattern of disorganization or problems with assignments/study skills, may wish to contact their child's guidance counselor for suggestions/intervention.
Reminder: Wednesday November 24 is a half day. No lunch is scheduled and dismissal is at 12:40 PM.A Parents whoA pick-up students at Mt. Pleasant Elementary School who are dismissed at 12:15 P.M. are asked to please honor the dismissal time for the older sibling in middle school.

Please make an additional note regarding the Outdoor Education Program. The Quillen and Fike Teams will go to camp Monday April 18 through Wednesday April 20. The Incognito and Steinbock Teams will leave Wednesday April 20 and return by approximately 2:15 P.M. on Friday April 22.A
